which one is stronger..? and y?
a guildie told me that amp is stronger than min damage + %,
but he also said that min damage + % is total damage + the damage %, and amp is base attack + skill attack= damage. then technically, say a 20% amp would be weaker than min Damage +20%.
o.o i get confused....

Therein lies the issue with Min. damage in my opinion. I've only seen 1 Forcium Blade with 7% min damage.
I simply don't see enough Min. damage items of worth to even consider that route. The hell I'm supposed to do with 1%.

T-T, well i got a phery orb slotted with min dmg. + 6%.... dunno if that's even strong
and there's sometimes craft ampe with like 1% too

Before I bother explaining I have to say this. Min damage only has an effect on sword based attacks, magic attacks are not affected by it. If you play a sword class I'll get into explaining what min damage is for.

Would be nice to see an explanation. I've been wondering about Attack & Min Damage vs Amp concerning BoF's.

Not sure if this correct, but I remember that for each sword class there is a variation of base damage, i think 2-5%. It doesn't effect crits though, only non crits and possibly only PvE, but again I don't remember the exact details.

That's pretty close. I am not sure if min dmg affects crits or exactly how much the variation can be. I do know that it does affect pvp just as much as pve. All sword skills have a small range of how hard they hit. Whenever you get an item with min damage, that range becomes smaller (the lowest damage a skill can hit goes up). I believe that the max min damage is 15% at which point you will always the top amount on your skills.

Ok let me put it this way. You have a skill that should hit for 1000. Without any min damage it will hit between 950 and 1000. If you get 15% min dmg, then it will hit for 1000 all the time.

I think min damage only applies to non crit, cus in PvP, my crits are always the same. But non crit damage can vary

7%min dmg is pretty ez to calculate. main things u need to know is that it will not affect crits therefore u can kinda say itll only work 50% of the time. u can also say that since it only affects min dmg the max isnt affected as well. if u calculated it 7%min dmg is equivalent to about 1.75% increase to ure avg hit

Amp mostly help ur attack high just like normal attack. But amp also make crit damage go up also. If normal hit is 1k then plus 20crit it will pump up 1200+, but with 7% amp will bring up 1600+. But if amp only it will come up 1100 or lower. I talking about all crit.

4. Can you explain how exactly + min dmg % works, and does it work for both magic and sword attacks?
The minimum damage applies to Sword skill only. Sword skill has range of minimum damage and maximum damage and Magic skill has fixed minimum damage rate per use. If the maximum damage of Sword skill is 100, each class has its minimum damage as below:
Warrior: 80%
Blader: 90%
Force Shielder/ Force Blader: 85%

Therefore, if above classes have minimum damage option as 1%, they will have minimum damange for Sword skill as below:
Warrior: 80% + 1%
Blader: 90% + 1%
Force Shielder/ Force Blader: 85% + 1%

If above classes set their minimum damage option as 100%, they will get fixed minimum range as if they used Magic skill.

good to know the cap is 15%
