I was just wondering if it was for something other than looks?

No FS should be using battlesuits.If there is an fs using battle it is either because hes terrible and doesn't realize.or he cant afford armor for some reason.

lol.i dont recall this.even if you somehow beat me in a pvp one time. it doesn't justify using battlesuits at all.

I was a martial suit FS before i could afford armor :P. martial looks epic ona FS. and battle idk....thats g4y

I've seen em using Aramid too, I'm guessing thats for Adept though

There is nothing wrong with using battle sets, depending on what your gears are and what you can afford. If you don't ever plan on getting anything higher than Osmium grade, then there is nothing wrong with using battle. The majority of FS out there use Shadowtitanium boots and gloves with Osmium armor suit and helm. Compared to full Osmium battle at the same upgrade levels, battle set has 4 less defense and 66 more defense rate. A difference that minimal hardly matters. As for me, I don't like how battle set looks with a shield, and I plan on getting full Forcium amp in the end, so I use armor, but it's all personal preference.

osm armor high def =less dmg but yur always taking dmg/ no miss(not good for dungeon)
but I were you I'dd still pick armor then use a def rate rune, upgrade it to lvl 10
high def and def rate = unstopable

Well I can tell you that my osm battle helm is = to an armor +9, so its not that much less def with higher rate. And its alot cheaper.

I use Battle on my FS and tbh it is for the Def rate is why i use it...Nakes it easier to grind in. Plus i have Beat alot of FS with Armor on.. I don't know really. But i know i like it

Time and Place.... All i am saying is i have beaten several Armor FS and i am Battle?
Its not all about the suit either its about the gears and the style of FS you made. So don't talk Big unless you know the person. So let me know when and where.

The main reasons are price and looks. Compare prices for PC amp suit and boots, and PC damage helm between battle and armor. U can save a lot of alz. Plus, even if def is less, u can get up to 100/150hp more if u get PC amp boots/suit, instead of the regular amp in slot osm armor. But this is only if u plan to stick with osm only. If u plan to do sg/sig or forcy, obviously battle is not an option.

24 def wont make that much of a difference. If the other person has the same atk/amp/rate/dmg as you do you really think that 24 def will make you unbeatable?
To all people FS wearing battlesuits, continue using it until you can afford that 6 extra def.

Omg. More FS use battlesuits now? I've been away from this game for like a year, and I'm coming back. :) But when I played I wore a battlesuit cause it was a gift, and people made fun of me for it, lol but I still liked it. I didn't know anyone who wore those. O.O

Wa sf poor guyZ 100 mil for +8aoms armor I bought it befor the update with 55 mil
100mil u can get armor +9 with 100 hp from the 2slots befor the update
T-T martaill 7amp cost 1.5 mil 7 amp that was the cheapest thing ever have amp idk how much it is now
I my slef got from many friends money to get my armor 55 mil now 100mil I became trac 2 days befor the update wa skill costed 2.5 mil now 30 mil

Why is this thread continuing for so long? The original question is what benefits can battle set gives besides Looks? Battle set is a lot cheaper than armour set. Doesn't make much difference in defence for FS as they naturally have high defence. If you can afford, go amour, if you can't go battle (only up to osmium). So much bs/haters in this thread lol.

I agree...one of my guildies is an FS and he says he uses battle cuz it's cheaper...I, personally, took 4% s amp cuz I won't sacrifice def.

so in conclusion martial fs were always fail unless u somehow got 14 amp that was osm or below, battle fs were ok but now both are total fails cuz of class bind hp update. go armour or go mantis :)
