+3 with a cherry on top... seriously, I know they don't want mercs replacing parties made up of players, but they need to nerf mercs another way besides limiting party buffs... I had taken a break from the game and was all excited about Cabal again when I heard about the mercs... then I read the update notes... there went my dream of grinding PF mobs as a WI with a trusty sidekick...

Also, why dungeon-only? If EST just doesn't want you to abuse afk with mercs, there are other ways to limit this. Until mercs can 1) be used for party buffs and 2) be used in maps, I'll stick to my other game ;) Hopefully they get this done soon, Cabal is a fun game and that would be a big enough deal for me to pay for Premium again.... just saying... ;)

When your questing, and you have a monster killing quest. If your merc takes the kill yoou don't get the kill. LOL
