OK it is well known that the BL has a gr8 advantage on defence rate other tehn all teh other classes...BLs solo many dungeouns based on this fact and ofc Flee rate buff skill which always comes in Great use.

but i have removed (defensive sence) and got max lvl (reflex) upgrade
and (Sixth sence) max lvl. forcium set sloted +8 etc, soul abilty lvl 15 def rate...

in the end i sum up to 4300+ def rate.

Now here is the question. In PI, the def rate doesnt work(out of 6 hits, 1 or 2 hits might miss) , in PF it works frequently, in MF its good. In IC1, IC2, ft b2f, lost compass also doesnt work.

How much def rate does one need for those places

if the Char's def rate exceeds teh mobs attack rate then the Mobs will start performing chances of Misses, the other way around too.

What is the rigth amount of def rate to get it working in PI and other mentioned places

when it comes to high lvl areas and dungeons your gonna get hit no matter what your defense rate is. just gear up like any other blader and deal with it. if ya want a lil extra def rate put on a rune and max it out.

If your Dmg, defense and vamp are decent it really wont matter how often ya get hit because you'll vamp it all back anyway.

lol the problem with pi is the hell hounds...
attacks liek ww dont hit them as much as they should

adn those houds still hit me for 200 when incubus is hitting 13's

Actually the mobs of PI have a different method for AOE skills
for example, it is really hard to be able to do LS and catch all the mobs in lvling area
unless u hide behind the door and they gather in one spot...
the less mobs per skill the lesss hp absorb per skill.

I guess cabal aimed to make solo Lvling in PI difficult,
to me it seems a bit twisted in the mind...bottom line is
get 1 partner and the prob is solved

using
Moon walker epaulet+500 def rate
reflex pots lvl2+300 def rate
Bike Rw+3 150 def rate
foricum set +8 260 def rate each piece except helm+ 100 def rate
Upgrade skills: sixth sence Maxed, reflex Maxed
vampiric amulet +4 10 def rate
Defence rate Rune Maxed
hmmm what else... well bottom line is
i have 5020 def rate
i guess that it would b so tough to go any higher
only forcium ofc
inspite of this, Def rate counts for Crap in PI
So no one waste ur time with def rate

that is a new disadvantage for the BL class

super high def rate that doenst work at almost max

GM's didn't really feel that def rate mattered now that every Squishy class is on heavy

Y'know who to blame (yet again =p)

I stopped using mirage step since ep4 and it's been working out very well for me. I don't see a difference from when I was using it. After a certain point, more def helps more than more def rate.

well, not that this will matter. but def rate could benfit in solo for eod b2f and ft b1f.

still not worth killing the defence for eod b2f and ft b1f

I ditched Mirage Step for Fatality Increase, since it was cheaper to do, lol. I can buff my teammates now :cool:
