I'm all for simplicity but this one just doesn't hit the spot. Lighting is basically non-existent since the entire sig is uniformly dim. Also, it's a really, really flat sig. No sense of depth at all.

I still don't know why a lot of people see following tutorials as a bad thing. I'm not endorsing the practice of strictly following tuts - I'm just saying that they're very helpful. Tuts were never meant to be a "this is how you should make your sig" guide.. it's more like a less complicated and more enjoyable form of a learning PS-for-dummies manual. You take what you learn from tutorials and before you know it, you're mixing all the techniques you've learned to make your own tags.

Also, don't be afraid to experiment. Go beyond your comfort zone.

Keep practicing and have fun.

tbh i don't use tutorials at all, and i could've lightened the left side instead of burning the siggy lol

It's really up to you. If you want to improve, you could either read on every single function or you can follow tutorials. I usually recommend learning from tutorials (as opposed following them and claiming the tag as your own) because it's an active form of learning. I've only used tutorials for the first few sigs that I made. Everything else after that was simply me experimenting with the things I've learned and reading up on what I lack.

Anyway.. like I said, it's up to you.
