View Full Version : Any advice for a beginning FA?

So I played this game once as a Force Blader, gave up at level 60 because I couldn't stand how slow the leveling got and how weak the FB was in comparison to other classes at the same level, and now I'm coming back and want to give the Force Archer a try as a refreshing change of pace.

I plan to be heavy on PvP in the later levels, pure ranged combat with no sword skills, and I'd like some pointers to keep in mind while playing, as far as skill usage, combat tips, etc.

I'd also appreciate any advice on properly spending my skill and stat points so I don't have to resort to resetting or reolling later.

Hi FoxHound.
I’m not an expert on FA’s, but I’ve a level 102 FA so hopefully that counts for something.
Regarding your pvp, you will be wanting to buy some amp gear.
Sword skills: You’ll be wanting to get Dash and Fade Step. Also, when you skill, sword is automatically trained as well so that’s an added bonus.

Lastly, the skills.
This guide is pretty thorough and should tell you basically everything you need to know about a Force Archer:

Hope I helped.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

I'm assuming I should ignore all the elemental arrow/lance skills and get all the cannon skills?

No, lance skills are one of the must as well as cannons

More than 2 hours per level = SLOW to me.

This is the wrong MMO for you then.

At level 75, you can get 7-8 levels per hour.

then why play MMO's, getting to level 100 in a week with your skills all skilled up is cake. try getting to level 160 (which isnt even as bad as getitng 170 or 180) when you have to spend hours and hours of grinding just for 30% of your bar... yeah, cabal is an eaaaaaaaaasssyyyyyy MMO compared to other games, people that are experienced in other MMO's (me not being one of them, cabal was my first MMO :O) can get to max level, or even just a high level very easily. I remember one of my friends started playing, got max level within a few months, quit, came back on a blader now and hes already at level 170+, that just blows me away, and i thought going from level 149-160 during that 3day double exp event was epic XD
