Game Gaurd Error

When I start cabal, the nProtect Gamegaurd thing comes up and says its updating but theres no bar in the thing and it says retry, and I keep retrying, and it doesnt do anything but when i click cancel to get off of it. it opens cabal and i log in. But then about ten seconds after I spawn it says that an error occured and i have 2 log in again, so i log in and it keeps doing the error thing.

Nvm, I redownloaded the game and it's working now.

if you have this problem with he ogp version just reboot your computer it usually fixes the problem with the *.erl files in game guard that causes the "hiccups"

My nProtect GameGuard thing comes up and says its updating stuff too but then it crashed & Windows shows up the box that says NProtect GameGuard Launcher has stopped responding tells me to shut GameGuard down. Problem error thing says:

So I shut it down, and Cabal starts, I log in, choose server & character & spawn & I'm in the game for like about 1 minute then I get disconnected & get this error once I start attacking stuff lol "Error Code: 6 / Type: 421
An error has occurred while communicating with the server. Please relog in after clicking 'OK'"
Did ya get the same error??? I've relogged bunches of times, I've restarted my laptop & everything as well too, but I can't remain online.
I don't really feel like redownloading the game rofl, I remember the 1st time I installed and tried to run the game after the auto-patching & i had so many corrupt files I gave up searching for each individual file so I redownloaded the whole thing again, did the manual update patch instead & auto patched from there & it worked but it was such a nightmare lol.

When you updates from ogp version did you let it auto update or did you run the manual patch?

The OGP version can't auto-update. You have to do the manual patch on it or do the full install of the new EST version. If you're having problems, uninstall and reinstall. There are many threads about various problems with certain OS's and device drivers, etc.... Check them out to see if your particular problem is among them and if anyone has found a solution.

I have the OGP version, I downloaded the game last year & I did the manual patch that was posted on the site either June 2009 or June 2008, then I let it auto update until the current version instead of having it autoupdate from 2007 or whatever my version was...

Are you talking about the manual patch that was on the ogp cabal site http://cabal.ogplanet.com/news.og?op=uview&num=1546&pn=1 or is there a new manual patch thing? Oh that link was the old link, that site doesnt work anymore but what was on that page was where i got the ogp manual update thing last year.

Go to http://www.cabal.com to get the manual patch or download the new full client. Lol I've done all that lol. What I meant when I said I had the OGP version was that the version I have on my laptop was from the OGP phase not the client thats on EST, but its been updated numerous times already so it's current, so yes it already has the EST patch. I've already registered a new acct, transferred my acct all on April 2nd. My game is already updated since April 2nd with the EST patch. I can log on, choose my character, spawn on the game everything. But my GameGuard stops responding with Windows & Windows shuts GG down. Even though GG is shut down, Cabal still runs, thats how I'm able to log in choose my character & spawn on the game, but I get disconnected like 1 min after spawning, prolly coz GG is inactive, which is because Windows shut it down saying it stopped repsonding.

Lol, okay, sorry, I guess I missed that little tidbit. There are quite a few people with Win7, particularly 32 bit, and some with Vista having various issues from BSOD's to connection errors. Your problem sounds familiar, I think someone else has had that too. After going through these forums for a couple days and seeing so many issues, my brain is turning to mush and I can't quite remember where I saw it. It pays to troll through them and see if there is a similar issue and a fix posted. Below is a link to a thread someone started to try having one place to put all known problems. If yours isn't listed, post a reply describing the issue so it can be added to the list. We're hoping EST GM's and such will keep checking.

I'm on Vista & yup Vixen has the same problem as me here http://forum.cabal.com/showthread.php?292-Disconnected-Error-Type-421 which is prolly where u saw another person having the same problem as me. I think because GG stops responding with Windows is whats causing my "Error Code: 6 / Type: 421
An error has occurred while communicating with the server. Please relog in after clicking 'OK'" to pop up & boot me offline telling me to relog but relog just repeats the never ending cyle of disconnections after spawning. Idk what could be causing Vixen to have that problem tho.
