Sent to Wrong Character

Okay so I was transferring my gear to my Cap FA. I made the stupid mistake of leaving out an "L" on every Recipient name. So I sent them all to the wrong character. I sent a ticket. The question is, what are the chances I would get my stuff back.

I intended on purchasing the rename card. Figured it wouldn't work since the name is already taken.
What if the guy has quit and will not touch his mail? Are items sent back then?

There are no time restrictions on mail right? Once its sent, its sent. And if unopened it still won't come back?
