Well just recently downloaded the client. Last time i played was when cabal was owned by Ogplanet. Ok heres the problem. When i click on the desktop icon i made Cabal. It goes to patch and it says update.exe is downloading then it goes imgrepository.dll downloading then it goes failed try again.
I've tried multiple times with norton 360 disabled. Still same result.

have you tried to run the game as administrator? if not right click and choose run as admin see if that helps to complete the update

yeah i have the same problem, set up exceptions for avast and even went through and set up exceptions for the ports cabal is supposed to use. left 3 requests with help desk. On my old hd it never did this once, and now it is lol. hopefully ill get it figured out soon, but the help desk doesn't seem to be very helpful.

ok man im not sure if your still watching this thread or not, but i think i solved the problem. happened by accident when i was dealing with issues from another game lol. anyhow, open up IE and go to internet options, then go to connections, and LAN settings at the bottom. uncheck the box that says use proxy server for your LAN then hit ok to leave menus. now try starting cabal, i did what i just told you and it did updates like it normally does and worked fine.
