Download Fail tried IE Lan settings...Help please!

I just finished Downloading and installing cabal and when I open up cabal it says "Download Fail......Try again" This is really annoying me and I see other people have this problem. I am in the US I'm in Florida actually. I don't have my proxy setting on IE checked. I re installed Cabal over 3 times now. Can some please Help. My friend got on fine I don't see why cant I. Please Please help Maybe a GM? Or someone who has fixed this problem.

Try downloading the installer at your friends place and then use a flash drive to port to your computer.

Well, I fixed the problem turns out I need to turn off the fire wall and turn on norton. Anyways now i keep crashing right after i click start and start connecting can someone help on the crashing?

try running on admin if the game crashed while your playing you can try this Possible Solution No. 1:
Disabling auto-restart to see whats causing the problem. to do:

1-right click on my computer
2- click on the advanced tab
3-click on settings for "startup and recovery"
4-uncheck automatically restart tab

1. Open the registry editor. start->run-> regedit

2. go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management

3. Double click on "PagedPoolSize"

4. Replace the existing value with the one of the three listed below using hexadecimal
//choose either one
0c000000 <---192mb
10000000 <---256mb
18000000 <---384mb


5. Restart your PC

6. Enjoy cabal

in this method,the "PagePoolSize" allows you to Free some unused memory(acts like a dump)
and prevent common crashes to cabal..

PS: i uses the 256mb

i remember doign that when it happened to me on OGP and it worked
