Which is better?
Been reading this http://forum.cabalonline.com/showthr...for-EU-Wizards
Says 15/24 give higher DPS.
Can anyone back this up?

When it's only 8 rate vs 16 cd, yes 8 rate will give more dps

But there is a cap on rate

There is no cap on cd

15/24 is a helm for people who don't have enough rate to hit their cap

7/40 is a helm for people who do have enough rate to hit their cap

This will depend on if you have rate or not on other pieces of equipment and how much max rate you have

Ratza is saying 15/24 with 2x 40dmg orbs is better because it is cheaper, which is true. However, 7/40 helm with 2 7/30 or more topaz+ orbs has a lot more potential. When he made that guide, high grade rate orbs were very rare to.come by but today they're kinda common.

So let say that 15/24 would put your rate up to 55/55
then that is better than 7/40?

what?

You know what I meant =.=

Technically there isn't a cap on rate and it can go to 100 etc etc

Except for your own personal Max Crit Rate which does act as a hard cap. Happy now? zzz

If the 7/40 helm put you at 47/55 rate, then the 15/24 is better

But if you are 55/55 with 7/40 helm, then you don't need a 15/24

lol i didnt say it to spite you. i have 6x% crit rate and you would think almost every hit would crit but its not the case. i feel as though there is a diminishing return at around 59% crit rate and i was wondering if anyone knew anything about it since at that point its hard to really test it out.

7/40 helm 1 7/3x orb and a 40 cdi orb > 15/24 helm 2x 40 cdi orbs. trust me ive calculated this before.

of course u have to have merg (killians) rol2, k red, the 7/40, and atleast c rate in 1 orb. and ur good. u should have 52 rate with that, or more if u have some in ur pet. i know good wizzys that only have like 48 rate lmao

7/40 helm + 7/40 orb = 14 rate + 80 dmg.... 15/24 helm + 40 orb = 15 rate + 64 dmg

two items with 7 rate would be the most beneficial. When you know you cant afford two items like that, then 15/24 is better

lol ^
not saying making a 7/40 is impossible but he can save so much more money buying a pot 7/3x

If you do several hundred hits and count how many crits and noncrits you get, then it'll be easier to see the effects of crit rate. Any probability can be shown more clearly with a larger sample size.

how is 6x% crit rate almost every hit a crit?
Would you fill 3rd slot of an item with 60% success chance while having critical rate in the second slot? I think you wouldn't, knowing that rate will likely go puffpuff.

There is no diminishing return anywhere and you can easily test it out with FB's bm3.
I feel the difference with or without hard luck (59rate vs 69rate).

In America, only New Yorkers can Maths, duh.

Outside of NY, 60% = 100%
