Epaulet Appearances

Since any attempt of mine to explain this before has never worked, I have a new way of explaining it.

This is the current system regarding the appearance of Epaulets:

This is what I think the system should be:

(Where a cell denotes that suit type/epaulet combination.)

In short, "so long as a player is wearing an epaulet of equal or greater level to the type of suit equipped, the form of the epaulet for that suit will appear". The idea is that no one uses appearance change for Aramid~ST because they won't equip EoX+3 ~ sEoX+5 and sacrifice stats for appearance. Personally, I have a love of Aramid and ST and would love to use appearance change to those items, but they're pointless without the epaulet. -_-'

And for the sneaky, you can wear your EoX+8, equip OSM, and no one will be the wiser as to what your epaulet actually is, only that it is "at least +6".

Pointless? Maybe, but we should give some purpose to the lower levels of equipment. -_-'

Frankly, i've changed my appearance to a full set of bluestin and accidently forgot to swap out the eof4 for my eox8...and I didn't even notice the change in performance xD so as awesome as this sounds, it's kind of a moot point in the grand scheme of things

Perhaps it is, but I thought I'd try one more time and make it a little more easier to understand. My last thread (from a year ago) had people thinking I wanted the EoX+8 epaulet appearance to appear on anything someone wears. :S Confusing it seems.

Perhaps I'm bad at explaining this. xD Imagine if I took the EoX+8 epaulet and put it on Aramid. It would look stupid. xD

What I'm suggesting it wearing a EoX+8 will make the EoX+3 appear on Aramid...etc.

For the second spreadsheet, make all the white ones light green and the light green ones white.

His spreadsheets make sense, and so does the idea. It's just that in terms of total functionality, why not just wear the guardian epaulet for that grade of gear so that you have the cape and alright bonuses as well....cause by the time you're high enough of a level that you're sick of looking at your forcium, the only places you'd need your eox+8 is when doing dungeons. But for war and regular pve, it's not even necessary xD

Yeah unless they made the appearance change permanent for epaulets lol.
