Blue Screen of Death crash and now the game won't start

Hi,

my sister's been having troubles since yesterday. She was playing Cabal and got a Blue Screen of Death (I haven't seen one in years.... I was shocked to know they still existed!) and after that the game just refused to start.

She tried :

1. rebooting

2. rebooting, deleting update.exe, rebooting, starting the game

3. turning off the pc for a few minutes, turning it back on, deleting update.exe, turning off the pc for another few minutes, turning it back on, starting the game

The launcher comes up but when she clicks start game the launcher disappears but nothing happens.

4. she did a checkfile, redid the whole step 3, still not working.


Any ideas?

Read the stickies to post the minidumps so people that can read the dumps can analyze it and tell you the problem

We got it to work again, but thanks anyways.

we've uninstalled cabal, downloaded CCleaner and fixed a couple registry errors, then redownloaded cabal and reinstalled.

Seems to be working, for now
