The Current State of Gladiators

This class was released 1 year ago, everyone got so hyped about it and maybe like <50 reached level 190 during the duration of the level up event for free gear. The hype was still there after a month or so due to their BM3 doing ridiculous damage damage during their fatal skills (assuming they had 10 rage). However, there has been a sharp decline to the number of people who play GL and like no one plays the class anymore. What might be the reason(s) for this? Discuss. made a thread specifically for my gf miavii cause she obviously knows how to read thread titles.

GL is a mix of FS, BL, FS, FB and doesn't specialize in anything.

He lacks in every field, but does a bit of everything in a good way.
Self heal
Absorb skill
Dmg buff w/ self Defense nerf
Some, okay AoEs
Interesting and high damage fillers (People will split between Cross On Earth and Shadow Step for 3rd one.)
Exclusive backward badass Fadeaway (TM)



Skills wise
Not many Downs, no Knock Backs
We're looking at Accuracy +200 in 3 ranged skills here which would help for manual atk in Non-Combo.
2 of the highest skill learned in late grades, Chakram Break and Momentary Illumination are sub par, useless PvE, under average in PvP.

Suppression skill isn't a big WOW WOW WOW, no where near Panic Cry.
Party buffs are ridiculous, no where as efficient as Morale Shout and Dmg Shouts. Accuracy only helps your allies in battle modes (NonCombo)
A FS with Silent Shield is a better team player let's say.

2x 2 secs Stuns

Debuff is great. Defense -50 Dmg Reduce -100

BM3 is alright I guess
A hit is 1~2
B hit is 1~4 <- great AoE kinda

Fatal 3 as I've heard is holy spirits good on crit, even yellow non crit.

BM2 retarget provides great sustained dmg, and GREAT vampiric leech life.

Verdict:

Pros:
Great for solos,
cheap to gear

Cons:
Looks like lobster
Gets bullied a lot

IGN: 9.0 It's okay

I agree with majority of what you had to say. Interesting filters and fadeaway+rapid dash certainly make gladiator unique. Furthermore, their bm3 fatal 3 with maxed out rage yields ridiculous damage. Perhaps since these are pretty much the only two pros, that is why the gl class isn't played as much or because it's still (relatively) new?

Wrecka was just a try out that went further than I expected.. I really wasn't planning to do a lot with that character given that it was made from scratch yet I managed to wreck. Same with this gladiator, I could probably do something with it but I'm not that motivated to push further by spending time and money again. You could've challenged me back when I had my original FA because I would be making fun of you right now.
