Cabal won't start

I double click Cabal I press start game and nothing happens, the cabal window closes and thats it, my firewall is down and antivirus to, ive had the game b4 but never had this problem till now

Could you give us more details? What OS are you using, what anti-virus software and did you shut it down only after Cabal stopped responding? Is your situation anything like that in the thread below?
