List of everything, with information on exceptions, just apply the information to cabal files.

This has been an issue forever and prior to the new takeover it was remedied once people started having issues.. which was after every update. So I know there is a way on ests end to keep it from being so difficult to log in.

This doesn't work for me anymore. It worked before on my old laptop with Win XP SP2 now I have Win 7 64-bit. McAfee would still detect and remove "CABALMAIN.exe" even when it's disabled. And I had Cabal running (after 2 hours of figuring out things) until I tried to open item shop, then it closed again and.. sigh.

You sure everything was disabled? Sometimes programs only disable a portion of the settings, and require you to go into advanced views to disable the rest.

Has anyone taken this up with McAfee? This looks like a flaw on their end from what I've seen. You could also submit the file for them to update their database.

Yes, everything. I meant to say those steps Yum posted worked on my old laptop with Win XP SP2 (now I have Win 7 64-bit) when I had this problem long ago. If it worked before then I don't know about now. Hopefully when I get home later, a miracle will happen. o.O

Here's a link to the McAfee website with instructions on how to set excludes.

Don't forget to restore the cabalmain.exe file from quarantine.
