Uh...maybe because most force bladers have gone STR build and gained more def/hp/dmg reduction/attack (credit to Nex/Exp). Force bladers can also use ice blade which gives them even more damage reduction on top of their stats. Anyways, I guess it depends how you play your character; force shielders have suppression, shield reflect, and AOD for a reason.
