That should fix your problem.

*EDIT* Your config file will be around halfway down the page. At least mine is.

1. When loading Cabal the screen goes white and says Cabal not responding, then It responds and goes to the log in screen.

Please post the specs of your system. Or even easier, download
Hijackthis (http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/) and generate a log,
save it and post the results here on this forum. Do it while you are
running Cabal.

Also make sure u meet Cabal's system requirements:
