    14%amp 20% cd VS 60% cd GS

Hi, I was curious as to which is better between a Redo GS 14%amp 40%cd and a Redo GS 60% cd. ?

I think the amp one is. Because I dont remember the conversion but like 1 amp is equal to 3 cdi. Don't quote me on that, but I think thats what it was.

In transitioning from a 27 cdi redosmium to a 20 cdi 4 amp lycanus, I found that my crits were the same when both weapons were at +8. So I would say 4 amp ~ 7 cdi on crit (of course non-crits and overall dps would be better with 4 amp than 7 cdi).

As far as dps goes, it depends on whether you are comparing bm2 dps or ordinary combo dps (amp is MUCH better than cdi for bm2). In combos, the damage calculator I use indicates for dps, 1 amp ~ 2 cdi on Grandmaster or better attack skills with a high amount of rate (40+) and base attack (1k+).

This means, assuming both are equal in attack, a 14 amp 40 dmg weapon is better than a 60 dmg weapon.

EDIT: The calculator indicates the acutal ratio to get equivalent crits on GM or better skills is closer to 5 amp = 8 cdi on crit. As you go to higher values of amp and cdi, the dps ratio for 1 amp to every 2 cdi begins to shift slightly toward favoring cdi for big skills, however it shifts slightly toward favoring amp for fast skills, even if you assume 50 rate.

Still, 14 amp > 20 cdi, hands down.
