I can't download cabal

EZPZ- Try clicking check files on the launcher window if it comes up. If it doesn't post a screen shot of the Error Message see if it is Cabal, Gameguard or Windows error and I can help further.

And from I'm pulling up off Google and Webcrawler, this is a very lengthy, "VERY" technical fix -_-

Until I can figure it out into simpler terms for someone beside a geek, I'd suggest...

WinXP
Start>Run>cmd.exe
in that window run> sfc.exe /scannow

WinVista/Win7
Start>In Search Field type cmd.exe>right click the command in the list>"run as administrator"
in the command prompt same as above sfc.exe /scannow

will take a while, but the command will check system files for errors and replace them with good ones, might ask for install media once it goes to replace any bad files so get that handy just in case.

Yeah, it annoying, back in OGP days used to have this updater error all the time then it seemed to get patched, and like 3 or 4 updates ago this beast has come back to haunt us. Looking like it is in the manual patch that is affected by the NTVDM error, trying to find what the fix is on the automatic updater error now, this OP and the one list gonna need fresh installs I am assuming. :/

Hello, this is CABAL Support Team.

We guess that your problem caused by the discordance between launcher’s image and launcher’s version.
So, we recommend you update launcher file first. But you don’t have to delete all of CABAL. Just delete “update.1st” file.

Here is how.
1. Go the launcher directory(CABAL-> launcher)
2. Delete “update.1st” file.
3. Re-start CABAL.exe
4. And then launcher will be downloaded automatically.

Never hurts to try it after they reinstall, if the updater is erroring we need to start at square one again for everyone having this error on fresh installs again until it is fixed >_>

Nice, running Linux Mint 10.10 32b or 64b depending on my boxes, one of the 32b ones is dual boot, but mostly run Mint which is based off Ubuntu, rarely have a winblows error on the Linux ones lol
