Gear for PvM

Alright, so I've come back to this game after a year or so and there's a lot of new stuff so I just decided to create a new character. I'm currently a level 71 sFS, and was wondering about my gear.

I'm only interested in PvE, no PvP at all. So would my gear just emphasize crit dmg and sword amp as usual or do things change a bit? Also, does the grade of armor matter more than it used to? Back when I played, someone in max stit didn't have too much of a loss in efficiency compared to someone in max osmium. So yeah, just curious about all of that.

Back in my day, this was the kinda stuff you wanted:

Double slotted crit dmg helm
HP/S. Amp armor
Double HP or S. Amp/HP boots
Amp gloves
Double slotted crit dmg weapons
RoL up to 50%
AoP

Is it still like this?

Times have changed. People don't stay in stit for more damage anymore. You will do yourself more harm than good doing that these days.

That being said, stit is still the best starting armors. You should skip osm level and go straight to sg or sig.

Try and get high base + amp if you want to be good at pve. FS aren't very good at pve though.
