I found two guides that read alike but not sure if they are out of date or current (couple years old each)

Right now I'm picking skills based on what they have. Really just starting out!

Novice: just kept what skills were given, purchased magic and agua missile (leveled up force stab to 9, along with missiles for skill training autoattacks)
Apprentice: dropped enchant and picked up flame sword (at 9), skilled up while doing house work and got earth shield (working toward 9). Got dash and fade step maxed at 9. Picked up Reflex as the second upgrade. Replaced impulse stab with force slash (9)

Went with a mix on the crit % and crit damage rings, picked up the +attack amulet. Figuring that would be better than the defense one, when I get to the vamp healing thinking a mix of one set of earring+bracelet would work best (one for hp and one for mp)


Any advice changes to those guides that I should be aware of? Thinking of doing the hybrid 309/309/rest in dex build. Especially as I read using class specific armors gives a little more bonus to your character.
