What is "SOPA" (Stop Online Piracy Act) and "PIPA" (PROTECT IP Act)?

Don't let the cute, benevolent-sounding names fool you... the effects of these two "laws" would be far more reaching than their names imply.

What you see here with wikipedia will echo across the Internet... until nearly every website you enjoy is taken away from you... and the only information you will see and have access to, is what some greedy guy in a corporate office WANTS you to see.......

I don't think it matters much, in all reality you have onion networks with a bunch of CP that the agencies you report to won't/can't do anything about because they are no on u.s. soil. The internet is not defined by the U.S.A. and hardly will change much at all. I'm American and I certainly don't care what they limit, there is always ways to circumvent whatever restrictions are in place via the internet, especially ones applied only to the U.S. and the rest of the majority of the worlds internet will remain unchanged.


The U.S. Govt hasn't done a great job at circumventing access to "rogue" websites (they cant, don't know why when there is another line of letters on a piece of paper defined as a law, people instantly think its 2012 of the internet), I would imagine if SOPA/PIPA passed you would only see increases in rogue networks in general.

With that being said your video embed is using the actual embed code from youtube, for forums you use

 [ video ] urlhere [ /video ]

Excluding the spaces.



Also I don't believe embedding or linking a video for embed works for all those other sites, usually youtube is one of the main used video sites, don't know about vimeo.

All i have to say about this is the government never changes because the people refuse to do anything to change it. People forget they have the power over the government and because of that our government is currently in the state that it thinks censoring the internet will actually change anything. Well they are right, it will change something, it will cause an increase in internet piracy. Leave the internet alone and try something that people will actually follow.

Megaupload.com has claimed it is diligent in responding to complaints about pirated material.

The indictment says at one point, Megaupload was the 13th most popular website in the world.
