I'm using windows 7 home premium. When i open cabal, my main browser (google chrome) doesn't respond (keeps downloading the home page without actually opening it), so i used e-explorer. but now the problem extended to it. I like to use chrome over any other browser. Does anyone know about this problem and how to solve it?
btw, i re-installed chrome and the problem still occurs.

Doesn't sound like gameguard is doing it, do you have an anti virus installed like AVG?

yes i have, i'm using avast. and i already scanned my pc and it was clean.

sry i replied before checking the article, and the first thing i will do when i get home is to turn the firewall on as i noticed that the problem in this link was in avg and the firewall. so i will try the firewall and c what will happen.
