Possible ingame whisper issue..

I wanted to post it here first and see if anyone else notice this or if its just me and my settings etc.

I see a friend online through my buddy list so i try and whisper him/her and it sends back a response this person does not exist or is not online.

um how do either of those responses work when i clearly see them online in my buddy list and see them talking in game?

I had the same problem this morning also couldn't invite to guild.

Any ever been pming someone then try and pm someone else(usually when linking items) and it repeatedly sends it to the other person?

yeah thats an easy fix. just pm the person your trying to link the item to a normal pm like "hey" then you can link the item to them without it trying to revert back to the other person.
