Update and nothing happended

i notice when i had my taskmanager open i started cabal and nothing happended cabal updater was running thats it, after i deleted some processes while enternet was running (cabal forum) i tryed it again and cabal opened. Not saying im happy that its working but i shouldnt have to go through this many steps if i didnt have to before the update

which processes did you delete? can you list them here pls

*TEMPORARY SOLUTION*
ADVICE: Careful messing with the registry, do a backup of it first.

Found a solution if launcher won't show up, this worked:

1. Deleted manually Cabal folder.
2. Searched registry for Cabal, deleted manually.
3. Searched registry for "npgg" (aka nProtect GameGuard Service) and if possible delete entries.
4. Used programs CCleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner to fix and registry leftovers and clean.
5. Installed Cabal, then pressed "Check Files", takes a while, when complete pressed "Start Cabal".
6. After that it downloads gameguard and done.

Check files does not prompt gameguard download, thats not done until cabal is started from launcher. Useless suggestion. If your launcher isn't showing up its most likely not because of registry entries.

which processes did you delete? can you list them here pls

just delete everything u dont need and make sure your pc usage is down to 5%

any solution for this problem yet? the only way I can get the client to show is if I delete the update file in the Cabal folder, restart my comp and open cabal again, it's getting rly annoying

Look at the cabal updater its stuck there forever using 50% cpu and no launcher.
