Critical Shot

I am wondering should I use Crit Shot in my combo? As I test, I see Crit Shot has the same damage as others lances when they crit, but when Crit Shot doesn't crit, it is very weak. People always tell me to use Crit Shot. But I think it's really weak. I don't know if there is any effect beside Crit Shot which I don't know yet . Can you explain please?

If your m.attack and m.amp are very high, it will do a lot more than your other lances when it crits
