If hes not using 3rd party tools, most likely you won't see any "ip ban", not that its really an effective way of preventing access to the client, but more-so probably causes problems with others on that same isp if there is any small range bans, I think they use mac address restrictions before any IP bans, which are useless if they were actually effective you wouldn't see endless spammers in BI, they would have been "banned" years ago.
