Str vs Dex on the new update

The only things they effect are atk rate, def rate, evasion, damage reduce. Dex gives more of the 1st 3, str gives more damage reduce.

This also brings the blade vs katana and str vs dex discussions back into consideration, and the NEW ANSWER IS!!!! KATANA and DEX!!!! Your str should no longer be any higher than it has to be, everything should go into dex.

So you can see with 226 points moved from str to dex I gained 339 attack rate, 226 defense rate, 339 evasion, and I lost 63 damage reduction (not pictured). Every other stat was the exact same either way. So def rate is 1/1 for dex, attack rate and evasion go up 1.5/1, and each point in str brings damage reduction up 0.278 and dex adds nothing to it. Str also has no impact on atk rate, def rate, or evasion.

It seems for BL if you are pvp/war based, go str and if you are pve go dex.

Nope, you will take an EXTREMELY small amount of damage less with str. We tested with a 190 blader today in the guild. He had 363 damage reduce, extracted all of his extra str and now he has 279 damage reduce. The damage difference on my crits was under 15 damage less with 84 less damage reduce.

The new build every blader should have is str/int for gear and the rest in dex.

Transfering str to dex affects hp too now.
