Yes the drop rate is not the issue. What I was referring to was what a developer stated about modifying the maps making the creature stats higher that it would be more challenging and to reward/compensate players for thier hard work the drops would improve meaning better stuff.
I have yet to see this implemented and as I said I'm not holding my breath waiting for it either...
