Is it possible to transmog a GS to look like a daikatana and then use a weapon skin?

I don't like the look of the Hellforged greatsword, I like the daikatana but I use GS, is it possible to transmog to be able to use the daikatana skin?

No. I tried from katana to blade skin to use hellforge skin and it didn't work. Instead I later on bought a blade.

If you're equipping a katana and you mod it into a blade, it's only client sided; you're still wearing a kat. I'm assuming you did that for app change but same thing either way.
