Game Guard keeps closing

Running Vista and Avast.

Tried running it in XP mode, nothing changed.

This is the only game I play that runs Game Guard.

try closing all other apps before running the game. usually theres some open program that gameguard doesnt like so much that prevents it from opening the game itself. and when i said close every other program thats running, as in close everything that is un-necessary on gaming.

Tried that one and still nothing.

Going to see if a reinstall fixes it.

EDIT: Reinstalling did not fix it.
