Installer Issue

Alright, When I go to click on the setup file, it basically freezes up the folder and if i end the process, it freezes my PC. What could be the problem?

I'm running on Windows XP

If you have not already, try downloading the client from the direct download link on the website. You should also run the installer as admin(right click and run as administrator)

I did the direct download twice, still the same problem. Also, my friend here on vent said to run it as admin but I don't think XP has the option to run as admin (If so, I've never heard about it)

Edit: I see run as: administrator, but it still doesn't help the fact that it freezes even when i right click it

Have you put cabal on the accept list of your AV/Firewall?

Also are you sure you have the minimum specs to run cabal?

I know I can run Cabal, I played the OGPlanet version and I can run Aion on high with no problems, so lets hope it wouldn't be a spec problem

Did you check your AV yet? Thats what it seems like to me.

Likely your AV or firewall is causing the issue. Add CABAL to the exception lists of both. You might as well do it now, because you will likely have to do it later anyway. If the issue persists, attempt to run in safe mode. Please reply with the results.

So, I redownloaded for the third time, apparently the file is getting corrupted and it has eaten up about 40 gigs on my PC (somehow), I got rid of the file, and now im left with 6 gigs, any way to get my memory back?

You can either do a system restore to the point before cabal was downloaded, or you can reformat. The first is relatively easy but the latter will take some time. We would be happy to help you if you need it.
