Cabal loads but wont get me to log in screen, something about erl files.. HELP! :(

I start cabal it loads and then it never goes to the log in screen
ive redownloaded, checked files
restarted computer
ive checked all over forums for solutions, still
nothing could a GM please reply or someone who knows a solution

Now when i hit start, my internet opens with gameguard info, and then a ERL send thing pops up, this is very important ive been trying everything please someone! i know someone has to know

No cabal runs amazing on my PC after i downloaded the new AVG free, cabal just wont work

i just got avg 2011 too n cabal keeps freezing up. i think it might be something to do with that.

well, i put cabal under exceptions and that still did nothing :/

Loading screen.. Freeze.. cant even Ctrl Alt DLT, i dont know if its the game, or my AV i put it in my exceptions, cabal ran like a champ on my pc a few days ago.. dont know whats wrong :/

You can get a norton av from comcast if you know anyone who (relative or friends) has subscription to comcast with login.

Though it will take a certain amount of your processor speed. Cabal may lag.

You also may want to look at getting Avast (http://avast.com) AntiVirus its free and better on resources than any other AV out there and just as good as Norton/Mcaffe if not better. (btw i have been a PC Shop owner for over 10 years and have just about all certifications you can think of ...) yes Norton/Mcaffe BLOW, AVG is ok but needs too much interaction and configurations, Kapersky is ok but same as AVG ... try out Avast i think youll like it.

There are pro and cons to each and every free av, but they are not always accurate when scanning, norton is bad for taking a lot of processing speed and mcaffe is the worst ive seen. Avast isn't bad or good but I have seen its scanning isn't too accurate.

i've never had any issues with it my self and customers i have had come in with viri infected PCs that had norton/mcaffe i used avast to clean it, uninstalled norton/mcaffe and they stopped getting viri, even though they didnt stop DLing the nasties ..... /fail

I use avg (not free, the subscription) and I haven't gotten a virus in over two years... But I don't use its firewall I made my own.
