View Full Version : Cant get into game all of a sudden

I have tried the fixes posted on serveral close issues to what i am having but they havent helped yet,and before i uninstall and reinstall,i thought i would ask here for some help.Issue is i can launch cable,it runs the patcher,it runs gameguard and goes into the cable loading screen. while its at the loading screen it just stops and goes back to my desktop like i never lauched it.I have never had a issue with cabal before and all of a sudden i got this.Tried several of the fixes that are posted on the stickies but then again none really pertain to this issue.If anyone can help me out that would be great,even if you only have some advise,its all good before i try to wipe cabal completely and retry to dl it. Thanks ahead of time.

have you installed or updated AVG 11 ?

Thx i will try ur suggestion,tho i dont understand what cleaning my reg will do for a game that gets to the loading screen then just shuts off but i appreciate the help anyhow.I will let you know how it goes.

Step one isnt a reg issue fix, its called a clean boot. It stops all the silly stuff that starts when you first boot the PC up, thus giving more resources to the game, and also if there is interference from another program such as an AV or FW it will remove that interference
and before i get corrected by any smart@sses here, yes i know that you can do the same thing in regedit, and that step one is actually a GUI way of editing the registry.

Just a heads up it didnt work,as a matter of fact after i patched it today instead of just going to the load screen and turning off,now when i launch the patcher i get around 4 diffrent errors that are new.Oh well it was fun while it lasted.Thx for the help and good luck all...
