I need help on getting ride of unused quest items.

I have a Broken Core and Mummy Soil in my inventory but I dont have the quests anymore and I deleted them from my quest list.

How can I delete them or throw them?

It says that I can't sell a quest item.

Check your quest list and see if you have any quests - related to the quest item - activated or not.
