Ok, new to Cabal. So, my husband is in the UK atm. I seemed to have dled Cabal European Version, but cannot connect to the server. Is there really a difference? Would he be able to play if he dled from the North American one? Or if he dled the UK one and I the US one, can we still play together?

To answer your question, Cabal NA is not connected with Cabal EU. If you want to play together, then you have to download the same version.
