Before the whole corruption ordeal, [GM] Kalaydrah was on the most often, held the most events (not boring letter collection events), and overall knew exactly what the players felt ingame since he/she had an alt to play the game in spare time and played like everyone else. One major reason I liked Kalay the most is his/her activity with the players.

Exactly, kal was the only GM ever in this game that was actually active and honest with the players. Every other GM feels like they need to hide for some reason.

Another older player would have to say Kalaydrah was top 1 I seen in the game, they were always active until OGP slapped them down due some minor rule of their's. Used to see Kal on at least 3 hours a day in GM role, banning, talking to the community, holding quick events and all. Current group I would have to say it a toss up as far as Kato, Lorkan, and Snow with how active they are. No offense to the new crew members, not in game anymore I can't pass judgement from just forum activity tbh.

New GM need to be active both in game and on forums. If it is a real job, then I don't see why they can't make that a part of their job aside from answering questions. They should, in my opinion, take turns on which days the GM that takes the main brunt of the tickets and another for the forum moderation. The other few (how many active are there?) can be ingame here and there a few times a day doing scouting for hackers and the like and answering questions, but also having fun Playing the game. For them to best really understand how the players feel, they should have their own non-gm characters to play like anyone else. It would help everyone in the end I think :). Just a suggestion to the GM i suppose.
