either way, apple is still too overpriced for how easily it's products break. Not to mention their terrible compatablility with so many other things.

Apple Inc. has apparently decided against disclosing the cause of Steve Jobs' death at the untimely age of 56. But it was no secret that he had been battling a rare form of pancreatic cancer, from about 2004, when he underwent surgery for it.

He changed things. U often wonder if he and Wozniak didn't make the computers a personal thing, would IBM have done the same? or the computers would have remained in the domain of the big entities --- companies, banks, schools, instead of it being a household appliance and accessory now? And would MS have a big hit Windows if they didn't copy the original Lisa (a mix of Apple and Xerox technology)?

Jobs might have failed in some of his endeavors but it sure did open the eyes of some competitors in the market to make things accessible and cheaper to the ordinary consumers. You can't fault apple with lemons for sure; its mistake is in its price strategy, targeting only the 'rich' niche in the market (or overestimating the purchasing power of the average consumers).

But r.i.p. to a brilliant man.
