Cores...
Cores are the main commodity of Cabal. It's the most item traded by players; either bought or sold and it is also the most dropped item in the game. In fact, cores are the only reason that keeps Cabal's economy stable. How is that?
Let's say you have some cores, you either will use them to upgrade an item or just sell them to get some alz.
If you have enough alz, you will use them to upgrade your items. But with the low success rate of the Cabal's upgrade system you might not reach the upgrade level you want. Then you'll have either to farm more cores to keep your alz under your hand or (as most of us do) you will buy more cores. This means your alz will transfer to another player who had to sell his cores because he need alz.
After using your cores, you either reach the upgrade level you want or fail to do so. Either ways you will be short in alz, so you will sell you're farmed cores to another player who wants to upgrade his items, and hence his alz transferred to you.
By this mechanism alz is circulated between players and no one stays bankrupt for a long time.
Let's imagine if the upgrade system has more success rate. This means you will reach your desired upgrade level easily with less cores, which in turn will lead you to have abundant cores you don't need and hence you will try to sell them. But how can you sell them if the other players have already as well reached their desired upgrade level and they also have a lot of cores they want to get rid of.
This eventually won't make alz circulated as the activity of buying and selling has stopped at some certain point. This will lead to have a bunch of players holding in their hand a huge percentage of Cabal's liquidity. This will lead players to quit as there is no way to get the items they want except as a drop.
Game will die this way.
I (and may some of you after reading this) concluded that the upgrade system as it is now is important to keep the game alive.
However, while this current upgrade system is intended to keep the game alive, it forced many players to quit (even to destroy their epic items as may some of you have see). It is useless for them to go nowhere however the attempts they have tried or precautions they have taken.
The Game tried to solve this problem with a profitable solution: Safe Guards. But the more safe guards are offered the more the game is reaching to its end.
Est must find another way to circulate alz. They have to be creative about that if they want the game keep going on. I don't know how, I'm not the producer.

It is funny seeing people trying to upgrade crap that should be transmuted though

not quite....one problem I have is the -2 fail after not trying to upgrade anything after a month

Enhanced cores should REALLY enhance (read: improve success), and not just to prevent -2 fails.

Oh for sure.

One sign of its full life is I have to keep blocking alz sellers everyday. These people won't be here if no one plays this game or pays for their services anymore, which Est seems helpless to control, as in other popular mmo's.

Then when a few peep get tempted to because a greedy merchant is overpricing his merchandise or they're short of alz because of the lack of meaningful economic activity (read: items don't sell, or will after FOREVER), watch out, ban! They've dangled (or allowed) the carrot, poisoned one at that, for too long. Go figure.

Its no longer circulating alz when some always remain lucky and some always remain unlucky...
its no fun watching 1 guy +11 3 pieces with like 2 inventory of cores and then u attempt to do it only to waste 1b worth of cores or more and still end up failing

The old upgrade system was better.

The reason EST increased the number of + and cores needed is to make more money off of enhanced cores and to make reaching high level even harder (which in turn makes them more money). Previously, after +7 was a 50% chance of success. Now the success rate s and with -2 fails it is almost impossible to get +15 w/out perfect cores of safeguards (again more money for them).

Maybe having a item that is titled Perfect Core or a Enchanted service similar to premium service, less fails and more success. (could be stacked premium) EST and many other MMORPG games relay on the players that play their game to go into their pockets at least once upon that players lifetime playing their game, and you can't blame them that they need a income too... Remember at the end of the day this is Free to Play game. It should be fair, and it should have an alternative system other then the typical upgrading that is going now on cabal.

The Cabal's staff either need to figure out a way to keep players into the game yet interactive with the community. Having more events, dungeons, special items(in and out of the item shop) can keep players alive. Almost all my friends on cabal are loosing hope in this game, and i have as well alot of us are saying that "every event is depending on us going into our pockets" which is true, there's not a consecutive events from the ones that depend on us not paying to paying as in $ (if that makes sense) like back to back. Cabal Online and every other free to play game needs to step up..like seriously.

Here's the problem,our game goes off what goes on other servers,(mostly Korea),Economically speaking in the U.S. most players can't afford to waste 100-200 bucks a month on CS like other players can on other servers,Doesn't KR,EU and almost every other cabal server have all the safeguards in CS ready to buy whenever?,and aren't they regularly half the price of what we paid per safeguard for the 2 weeks we had them?
