Hi Cabal GM's,

I have PlayClaw which is a video game recording software like Fraps, but when I try to use it GameGuard thinks there is "a problem starting GameGuard" and won't let me play. I find it's WAY better than Fraps because it doesn't save huge AVI files and doesn't strain my CPU as much as Fraps does. Now my question is; Will this program be added to the GameGuard "safe list"?

Playclaw probably was trying to hook cabalmain.exe and gameguard responds to that by disconnecting the client from the heartbeat in turn giving the user a .erl error dialog, or it could simply be disabled hud/ui overlay on any applications not on white list, hard to say.

EST probably has control over a white-list of allowed applications to a certain extent, but in whole nprotect determines which applications to white-list universally across all games. Given the fact that playclaw isn't bringing in huge demand of requests for white-list to gameguard, I would suggest submitting help desk ticket asking if its possible for EST to enable playclaw to operate without causing .erl error and gameguard shutdown. www.cabal.com/Support/HelpDesk

You can also submit a request directly to nprotect if you feel the need to take that step for fellow playclaw users who want to use the application on gameguard protected games. www.global.nprotect.com/support/contactus.php
