Faulty items and duped stuff

GMs, I have a question for you. I am looking to purchase an EOF8 in the future, but I keep hearing that everyone that has been buying them has been buying duped items, and then has them taken away afterwards by GMs. I am perfectly fine with that so long as they are properly reimbursed. But, how do I know that I am buying a legit item when I do finally make the purchase? Or do I just have to hope its real? Thanks!

Hope it's real. I had a ROL +2 taken away last week. I'm guessing it was duped? I got the alz back, so no harm. Just make sure you do a trade and not exchange alz or item any other way.

I bought a VE 7 for a buddy who was going to pay me back later. I just dropped it on the ground and he picked it up. come to find out, Unsanctified took the VE 7 off of someone's account and it got taken away from my buddy. He didn't get any alz back b/c he didn't acquire it through a trade.

Since when did Seireitei care about legit items? Since it's a policy of the the guild since it's creation. Learn to know players before you judge a group of people by title (or guild in this case). That's called discriminating, which is against game rules. Notice that people that scammed others are not in our guild anymore? Probably not because you probably don't care because you've already made up your mind on your discrimination of a single guild. Just saying...
