Internet providers and lag

So i've talked to a few ppl and it seems like AT&T is one of the main companies having major lag problems, i've also had someone tell me that Bell Canada has been getting bad spikes as well. Ppl with Verizon don't seem to get it as bad as us but still are. So i'm curious if its just a select few companies or what, anyone else on different providers getting these massive lag spikes that seem to be happening more often now then ever and last longer?

I have time warner and i have been experiencing the lag as well. Last year there was a 2-3 week period where several isp's customers couldn't log into cabal at all.

Brighthouse ISP here in FL....getting lag as well...

By the way, Brighthouse is the worst ISP I've ever had in 10 years...I've had At&T, Comcast, Time Warner, Bellsouth, Verizon, Roadrunner and many more including 2 different Satellite ISP's...of all I've tried, nothing has beat Bellsouth....well verizon has come pretty close, but then I haven't tried their fios yet either.

Don't think it is ISP's are the blame for the lag. To me it looks like the servers have a memory leak instead.

isp's are not to blame. servers just have like 2 dollars worth of infrastructure invested in them.

optimum here and sometimes its bad.

Sometimes it looks like my internet but then i actually test it and its fine.
it isnt my internet it seems to be their servers. GG u guys know how to trouble shoot and maintain servers.

It seems like with my personal connection on AT&T, it doesn't lag at all for a little while and then lag of course out of no where for several seconds to minutes. It's almost like they downgraded the servers speed for some reason...lol it's like trying to fit 11 people in a 10 man vent, just not working~

you guys are doing it wrong. need to do the ping tests to a California server otherwise the figures are kinda irrelevant.

notice the huge difference? regardless, I have a good ISP and I still get the ridic lag in game, and its usually when there are a lot of ppl online.

btw comcast no more lag than usual most of the time which isusually due 2 mu slow computer, except for in nw when all the ppl that are lagging come stand next to me thanks alot guys really appreciate it ^_^
