Magnus Penna = A wing (a helicopter)

Gravis Rota = Heavy wheel (a tank)

I just finished taking a course "Latin and Greek scientific terminology", and ya its really interesting cause most of the words we known are derivatives of old Latin and Greek.

You don't need a college level education to be observant and know a second language....

A college education helps when you're learning a 4th language

They never stated it was their 4th language though. Most likely it's their second, in which case could have been learned when they were like, 3 or something.

Um, you guys shuld realize that Latin is the basis for a few languages, like Spanish, Italian, Portugese and French, called the "Romance" languages. These countries were all under the Roman Empire back then, hence their relation to Latin.
