so then the top 2 for each bracket aka winner of bracket a will face the winner of bracket B for 1 and 2 place
and the 2 players who lost to winners in Brackets A and B will face for 3rd and 4th

It was pretty even, but I pretty much lost every hit trade due to RnG. Just some bad luck - all there was to it.

bro romp missed his first chance when the gate broke. like before that match, we already knew what the wiz was gonna do, so me and romp went a practice round and we just discussed romp was supposed to be in bm2 while hitting the gate, and then go aofc + magic shield when the gate broke. romp went bm2 and only went shield out the gate instead of aofcing with it while the other wiz was raping him. the wiz shield only absorbed 3k dmg so i told romp he'd be fine hitting it but he just decided to run which cost him his first death. though, romp was killing guards that match and actually almost caught up near the end - but his bm3 lost to the guy's bm2. in the new map, bm1/bm2 outshines bm3 unless you're a fa.

RNG = random number generator, This is what screws us when it comes to plusing and crafting as well as attack rate and so on. You just can't get around it, some mistakenly call it luck but its really an algorithm...;) :p ;)

I'm assuming that's bcs the large atk rate increase they give? FB and BL have high base atk rates though.

Did they implement the new effects of the buffs included in the matches? I presume thats why Romp had to aofc and you chose FS cause of the patch notes included.

All blade buffs are non stackable and each blade buff gives 20 rate. Then the astral weapon for fb is 15 rate so its 15 + 20 + 5 = 40 base rate. And the blades depend on what effect you want. Lightning is accuracy +500, fire is pierce +50 and ice is reduce dmg -100.

I'm not sure about the specifics of the blade buff effects but fire seemed to be the damage increasing one while ice was like a weaken debuff. Lightning was useless

WA and FS were pretty much trash in the new arena since their skill suppression effects weren't even implemented in game; contrasting to what the patch notes they gave us said.

From the patch notes, the only thing implemented were:
FB new buff mechanics, FA's new buff, and wiz's 2 new buffs.

I got raped by XI, he's too skilled in freepvp and also circumstances were against me from the beginning (bugged account, no practice at all, too many things given for granted). Anyway it was fun. I woul'd have liked to do some freepvp with either him or Romp but they closed the area off shortly after :/

I had a look at others matches as well and imho none really looked that good. When they told me XI had lost (I think to the FA who then won the tournament?) I couldn't believe it.

And I agree koreans, at least those who were there, were not much skilled. The FB who fought against Romp didn't even know how to use combo. His tactic was: execration+hard luck > combo start > force kick.

+1 to magic classes being OP too. With all the def from ep10, hr20 resist, and multiplied HP in the arena they can tank and outdps any sword class.

I really didn't think NA had a chance vs Korea. They seems to always be on top ranks in just about every game. When people are sponsored they usually send them to Korea for training. So i was a bit surprised that at least one of you made it to 3rd place. Grats for that...

Well, between matches you could change your classes since they gave you an account with all 6 classes on it. I went fb/ wiz for the first couple of rounds and it was fairly easy, so then I got a big head and thought I was unbeatable and went for something different, hence the fs pick. It's not that i don't know know how to play fs (on the contrary, I've played fs for quite a while), it's just that fs were a lot more gimp in that arena than I would have liked to have though. I pretty much got that fa to half life when I was still at full life and he could still win in a combo fight having only half life left while I had full.

well obviously since none of us besides the koreans have been in the test server prior to this event, we wouldn't have known about the huge exploit to begin with. the 2 best kr players favorited to win played WA and were wrecked by random magic classes in the prelims so, it basically just shows how big the power gap was between melee and magic classes in the new arena. (they said it was still going through balance issues before the official update)

i wouldnt call it a miscalculation,patch notes say fs have suppression effect on their skills but that effect wasnt active during the pvp or the suppression was so small it is almost nothing o.o.....
point is: the ppl flaming u guys,not like any of them would have made any difference on getting first or second place lol.... ^^

suppression is 4 seconds of them doing nothing, not even moving. like I said, I was full hp, the fa was half hp and we both started a combo fight. he won... Twice in the same situation. 4 seconds of free skills is a ton.
