Bots get banned > gold farmers make new accounts > you see more new bots running around
Gameguard patches in order to block some of the bots > glitches on regular players > community rages about the glitches

Try running a dungeon, easy way to make alz. I made my first 1b in game just by running LiD, so if you're high enough to run that, you can make alz easily.
