Is using SGH to +15 worth it? and how often does it fail? i've never +15 something before only owned one.

The SGH do not fail because they are not the UCH. The SGH will protect 100% if the UCH fails but be aware that at +9 and above you should use enhanced UCHs to plus. After +9 and up if you fail upgrading with regular UCH you will use 2 SGHs but if you fail with enhance cores it only uses 1 SGH.

If you can + your gear up to +9 or +10 with out SGH you would be better off using them after those plus levels.

Start at +10 if you can't get any higher than that.. And always use enhanced cores so that you'll only consume 1 sgh per fail instead of 2.

from +11 to +15 on average takes 8-10 sgh. If you're lucky you'll use a lot less :p

I just tried to +15 my PC sig katana but it's still at +11 i failed 3 SGH

From +11 to +15 is four plus's. If you fail 50% of the time you should be using up 4 sgh :p I think myself and most people fail more than half of the time >:
