cabal.exe keeps disappearing

ever since some random launcher update a few days ago i can no longer launch cabal. even after reinstall it gives me error and then the shortcut goes blank and leaves an uncloseable cabal.exe process running on my system. clicking cabalmain.exe does nothing. help plzz

When you start up the launcher, does cabal not show up at all?
This happened to me too when the Latin servers came over. All I did was spam the launcher repeatedly and saying yes every time the warning window pops up asking if I want to terminate the already existing launcher.
