ok guys lets stop using the word "soon" for the updates coming up.lets say "they almost here".

I think the update will come after the ladder season ends, because the server after update usually takes time to become stable (lag, DC), and it can effect the event.
You can see the last three updates, they were in March -> September -> March. When does ladder season end? September.

No idea what is "extreme" refering to.
The update is called 'extreme' probably because of the extreme core system theyre adding. If thats an actual reply to a help desk ticket, they might be implying that the event is linked with the update, and may be coming at the same time or soon after.
