How do AP savers and DP savers work?

Not sure how they work, is it like a storage box that never depletes my DP and I can constantly put them inside? :confused:

yes it storage box
ex you have 690 ap, use ap saver and store 690 ap onto that item, left with 0 ap. once ap is store you cannot store anymore. at that point, you either sell it or transfer to an alt or w/e
